Common Passion
Whether you’re into long journeys or weekend getaways, if motorcycles are your world and you’re passionate about the freedom of riding, touring, and enjoying the surroundings, you can’t miss this new edition of the Crom Ride!
After eight years, Crom Ride has become not only a consolidated event but also a community of friends who meet to share a common passion. Crom Ride is also living proof that you never really finish discovering the province of Girona! Year after year, just when we think there are no more corners left to explore, Girona surprises us with new roads and landscapes, forgotten or unknown, that make their way to the wheel of the participants.
It’s not a challenge, it’s a spectacular and fun route for all types of riders and motorcycles. Its itinerary is designed to enjoy pure driving and the territory, where the organization is known for always taking special care in the choice of its route.
Curves and more curves, wide or winding, everything is chosen to offer the road rider the utmost enjoyment of their motorcycle, from the cliffs of the Costa Brava, through the fields dotted with farmhouses in Empordà, or the mountain passes and valleys of the Pyrenees.
Crom Ride takes us to discover corners where to return later with a partner or family to get to know them better.
Friday, June 28th, the party starts!
The evening before the route, a bustling Village awaits the participants with a complete bar service, set up in the spacious area of Fontajau, where you can discover the exhibition of brands, equipment, accessories, and experiences around motorcycles, adventure, and touring. A unique opportunity for those who make the freedom provided by motorcycles their philosophy of life, with a very varied product exhibition.
Inside what the Crom Ride Village offers, we can find tire changes at special prices by Metzeler, talks, and advice from the creators of VectorNote, on how to use and interpret the traditional Road Book or in digital format, and from Atlantis Moto, on how to use the App for navigation with the tracks of the next day’s route from their own mobile phone. There is also rental of safety airbags available thanks to Tecnimoto, Dainese dealer in the area.
Brands and manufacturers also have space to show their models and who knows if offer a special deal to change motorcycles!
Advice on brakes will also be provided by Galfer, Motorex service with its specific motorcycle care products, and the latest in luggage from the Catalan brand Shad. Wünderlich, Motocard, Poiexxis, HJC will also be present to contribute their products in the motorcyclist’s equipment.
The Catalan Traffic Service, in collaboration with Anesdor, will not miss the event with its indispensable monitored courses of 3.0 safety and driving training.
For many participants, the Village on Friday is the prelude to the night, which has become an unavoidable appointment to meet and dine with friends in the heart of the Barri Vell of Girona, go partying, and relax and rest in the immortal city to start the march on Saturday morning in top form.
Saturday, June 29th, the “fantastic route” through Girona!
Remember that the Crom Ride Girona is not competitive, and the organization always makes a call to judgment. It’s almost twelve hours on a motorcycle, with its corresponding stops. The Crom Ride does not feel long at all, the design of the different stages, in collaboration with the Patronato de Turismo de Costa Brava y Pirineo de Girona, are thought to be enjoyed up to the last kilometer.
The route is secret until the week of the departure day, but it is certain that the “trackers” of the Crom Ride will surprise us with an unpublished and spectacular route.
We do know that the itinerary has 6 Control Points, located in iconic and special places, where participants must stamp a Passage Card that certifies having passed through there to complete the tour. But unlike most, in this test, it is not necessary to follow the entire itinerary, this is suggested with a route in .gpx format or Road Book, and each participant can freely choose whether to follow it entirely or take shortcuts and go directly from one Control Point to another to better take advantage of the breaks and then continue enjoying the suggested route.
Also in this edition, the Crom Ride appears in the calendar of the second edition of the Catalan Mototourism Trophy organized by the Catalan Federation of Motorcycling.
Along the way, we enjoy the mobile Shoei service of cleaning and care of helmets and screens, and we will have photos of each participant in sections of the route under the professional eye of fotomotera.com.
Upon returning, participants will reunite with fellow riders and collect their finisher’s gift, awarded to all those who have completed the route and obtained the necessary stamps at the control points on their passbook.
The 2024 edition is already underway, the countdown begins!
